Early days of Gary Goldenvoice productions. Huge high priced shows put on in large venues like the Olympic, Perkins Palace. Sorta took away the "DIY", low key element of punk, in my opinion (but maybe I was reading too much MRR at the time, too idealistic). But alas, LA, with its numbers and volumes, was/is/will always be its own animal.
