1982. Seldoms were a strange garagey psyche, um, whatever band. Properly referred to as "Les Seldoms" with Jeff Colt on guitar. Yard Trauma was, of course, Lee Joseph and Tim Dodge's epic psyche band. Clean Dog featured Laura Steelink on vocs, impressario drummer Rick Sanford, and Steve Kennedy on super creative guitar (see photo below). They were right in there with all the great creative post punk art music of the era, under-appreciated. Maybe Mental were a Phoenix band.
